repair rear screen heater,

Hi guys i found the problem with the rear screen heater on my estate, The tags or flat connectors are hanging off both sides, the screen has copper connections bonded to the glass, they were soldered, but not very well, Has anybody soldered them back on again please? i need to clean the mating surfaces, it's the soldering i'm worried about! Will the heat crack the screen? i won't be useing a blowlamp!any advice please, Bob

you can get epoxy resin glues that will conduct electricity. not much more expensive then the standard stuff

I managed to re-solder the connectors back onto the screen on my old estate without too much problem. The screen won't crack, the only real problem is gravity  .....good luck
