Can anyone advise how to remove/replace the heated rear window switch? The LED has stopped working on mine although the switch itself still works.

Yes. Have a look at This page. Read carefully the Red warning at 2 as the diagrams are for a left hand drive car. 3 shows the panel removed and then the two switches are accessible. 
There is another article Here which may also be of help. On the same page there is another 'button' which again may help.
