Hi Glyn,

Thanks for that I will have another search for the problem when the weather gets a little warmer as I got fed up with searching for it in the cold!!!

Hi scorpio man I have not had the battery off for a long time so I do not think mine is the battery but it could be Peter's problem.

Kind Regards

Michael

I had thought of that little plastic T-Piece, and I shall be re-visiting that one.   I'm away to Bath for a weeks hols, flying from Inverness.   I took the car out this morning and it behaved perfectly!!!!   Then brought it back home after a good hammering, 125mph on the Sat'Nav for 3 miles as well, and it sat for about 20 minutes on tick-over without a splutter!!"!!   I wonder if it's ok nowHuh

Don't spend too long looking for it - it's a 24v problem.

OK Update.   I was at 'The-Old-Bare-Footer's' place about 90 miles slightly South and West of me a couple of days ago.   Dave2302 has all the equipment needed for diagnostics, and apparently my 'Fazing/Hunting' problem was due to the battery disconnection, and remember looking back the threads I did this twice, once whilst doing the job, and then after about a ten mile run I disconnected again overnight which meant the ECU had to learn the car all over again.   Dave reckons it can take either a couple of runs, or a decent run of at least 20 miles before the car might settle-down and behave!

Car fine now, and checked by the man for the Autobox.

Aha ! All's well then Peter.
I must admit on advice from my ex-Ford guy I ignore the running for about 20 miles after a battery disconnect and try to get in 3 or four starts.
