Rust in rear chassis

Well after fitting a new fuel filter I spotted some rust that needed looking at. Now I have a small rust hole just in front of the hole for the wire for the rear abs sensor. Now to do a good job, the rear suspension needs to be dropped to get at it, its right above the big tube that bolts to the floor. How easy is it to drop that down a bit, 4 inches say. Took the bolts out on that side and it has dropped down far enought to get to it.
