Fuel cap locking mechanism

Did something daft - I've managed to unclip the fuel cap locking mechanism from the funnel surround and it's popped inside the wing.

You can't get to it because it's in a void that you can't get your hand in (looks likes it's between the inner and outer wing.

Does anyone know how to remove the fuel filler surround?  Not the hose/neck, the actual surround that the hose/neck screws to.

You should be able to access the mechanism once you remove the boot lining.

Ah, ok - I popped it off but couldn't see anything - I'll have another check tomorrow.

Thanks.

Ok - just been out to the car (yes, I know what time it is!) and I obviously wasn't looking properly the first time round!  All sorted now, easy to get behind the panel with the lining off.

Thanks Tompion!
