I think there is one with aircon, and one for without, the one without would be shorter.

Yes the aircon belt is narrower as well but it is the waterpump/alternator and steering pump belt that having been replaced and put on correctly with the tensioner tight yet you can easily turn the waterpump pulley without the belt moving thus not tight enough. So is it the wrong one thus a bit longer or does the tensioner adjust to tighten it when the engine starts?

Tanks Tompion using this info I have found out that the new belt is 37cm longer than it should be and they are saying that is the right one for the 24v lol. Just had to order one from ford at £27 plus VAT because our motor factors are crap lol.

Sounds like they've given you a belt for a BOA engined Granada.

That is what I thought but they swear it was for a bob and on ebay companies are selling the wrong ones as the ones for the bob engine

Yeah - it's the same with the BOB water pumps on ebay - a BOA pump always arrives!

It is the same with any BOB component that differs from BOA.................
I have pointed this out to QH and several other factors, but it does not make "economic" sense for them to sort it..................

When the Scorpio BOB first came out some jerk who programs factors parts lists "assumed" they were the same engines, countless sheep followed the jerk and now it would take years to sort out all those incorrect part numbers in various catalogues / discs Wink

Assumption is the mother of all Fcuk Ups  Cry

When ordering parts for BOB you have to think "Was this different on BOA".............

Injectors, Belts, Water Pumps, TPS, Lambda Sensors all spring to mind.

HTH

Cheers Dave
