Hi My scorpio just failed the MOT on a bit of welding and the front passenger seatbelt light comming on and off at odd times. Can these be adjusted or do they need to be replaced? And do I have to take the whole seat out to do this? Luckily it is the prefacelift model lol. Thanks Andy

There isn’t a light for the seatbelt. Are you getting a code flashing on the airbag light: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/airbags.htm Even then the only seatbelt code could be either side.

Hi sorry it is the airbag light that is connected to the passenger seat. It seems it comes on and goes off on it's own when the seat is empty. I might add that one of the advisories is suggesting I take off the undertrays as they are hiding some components which is what they are there to do.

Mine appears at times and usually a whack on the dashboard solves it!. Have you checked the connectors under the seat?. They are often dislodged by rear seat passengers feet.

Mine has been flashing recently, I will check under the seats. I read somewhere on here that a dry joint on the back of the dash can cause it to flash.

| I suspect that is the cause of mine!.Hence the whack sorts it for a while.

Found the solder now but decided to check the fuse which was ok but by putting it back in it seems to be working ok now whilst stationary with the engine ticking over so I shall test it on the road once I have sorted the number plate lights out for a retest.
