ENGINE DATING

hello all 1st post . I had a search and couldn't see anything so how do you date your letter so io know the year it's a V6 2.9 cologne EFI has the twin mass air flow meters id like to know as ill be needing help with the ecu wiring/coil ignition as ive been looking for weeks and cant find my info thanks

well the engine is in my Cortina mk3 and it was in a Vauxhall victor before hand and I didn't get a wiring diagram but most is plug and play just the coil was hanging so the wires fell off in the mess.. it was an auto as its had the throttle sensor removed

big letter on engine is an F and the engine number is a KB564**

Ash, have you got a piccy of the engine mate? That might help people help you if they know exactly what engine it is. I'm not a V6 expert but I'm guessing it's a Mk3 Granny 2.9 12v too. Bruce.
