Hi gents, electric sunroof has jammed shut, is there any way to manually open it?

They tend to stick where the ends of the seal expands due to rust in the middle at the back of the glass. If you push on the glass up or down in that area whilst you press the switch for the same direction it usually gets it going – assuming there’s no other problem like a stripped gear, fuse etc.

As much as I loved my 'Electric-Sunroof', I changed to operating it manually, no problems since. Mine was jammed, I took a winder straight off a Mondeo and carefully wound it back and forth till it freed. I did put it back to electric after, but for all the work of the left hand, I got all the stuff I needed to change it to manual from Ford for about £15.
