The next problem!   I have a 7000RDS with a changer in the boot as normal.   Everything works fine except for the screen being blank!   This just happened this morning.   Everything was fine then I adjusted the volume on the steering and I then noticed it was stuck on 'Volume 11'   Then the screen went blank, then a load of 'gobbledeegook' filled the screen, so I switched the set off and then on.   It's now blank but plays all stations and the CD's and everything works!

Is it goosed?

Peter these things are sometimes sensitive to temperature/damp and I have a feeling you may have been experiencing both. You could remove the unit and place it in the airing cupboard or similar BUT you then have the problem of entering the code number again without being able to see the code IF the screen doesn't recover! Roll Eyes If I were you I'd leave well alone if it it is all working and see if things improve when things warm up. You could of course try leaving a small heater on in the car in an attempt to dry things out that way. Undecided

Hi Bruce. Good to see you are still about and I hope all is well with you and yours.

Peter, If |Gost can leave it alone rather than take a crowbar to it then I guess that's the best option!!. Cheesy Grin

Thanks for the replies guys.   I did wonder, it's been particularly damp/cold/windy up here for the last week, and before that the car sat for Six weeks with no movement whilst I did some wheel-arch welding.   I'll leave it for a while and see.

That's good Peter. Looks like it was a combination of cold/damp etc. Did you do anything specific ie: drive the car, use a heater etc?.  Smiley

Aye, heater on full-chat.   But it's back on 'fickle' again today what with the cold/snow!
