Smiley. Hi there folks.

Over the last couple of months I have had to cover lots of mileage over all kinds of roads and in much differing weather conditions, but not snow.

The first thing is that "The Beast", my 24 valve Ford Scorpio Ultima Estate with nearly 155,000 miles on the clock just laps it up, he just seems to get better   Cool.

However, there are a few little thingies that I have found that need a little tweaking every now and then. The first is to check all the Jubilee clips on the Inlet Manifold and on the spider are air tight, regularly. The original Jubilee clips kept on easing off a little letting unmetered air into the inlet manifold so I replaced them with new ones. I admit here that I only sourced slightly broader clips which may not be the best option as the sleeves are custom issue and the fit is tight. Now I have time I will see if I can get some original clips from Ford,   Roll Eyes Roll EyesHuh.  The engine perked up no end but after a day of so I noticed that little bit of sluggish response on the throttle - I needed just a little bit more pressure on the pedal to get what I wanted. The new clips had backed off just a little, also the Sleeve just to the right of the Resonance box had slipped causing an ingress of air.  Undecided.  I shall replace that clip with the original as it squashes the sleeve forcing it off the resonance box tube.

Keeping unmetered air out of the Inlet and lots of Motorway and A and B road driving has brought "The Beast back to his best - The Traction Control has been in use quite a few times - What a CAR!

Happy Scorpying folks
