Hi All. Foolishly I've been running my Scorpio with only one coded key/remote fob and now the inevitable has happened - I've lost them! I do however have a non coded key that can open the doors and turn the ign barrel (although it's hard to remove). So what are my options to being able to drive the car again? If you have any PATS workarounds please PM me rather than posting direct to the forum.

Where are you located? Someone with an FDS2000 may be near & can program keys for you. I can do it if you’re near Bromley/Croydon. It could be programmed by just taping a transponder to your key and transferring it to a decent key when you get one. Any key can be master apart from its colour the red key is the same (assuming yours is the red master setup). It can be set up with just the master but you should have 3 keys as it stays in programming mode until 3 keys have been recognised. The best bet is to get keys cut to the key code rather than copying your worn one. I got one cut on Ebay for £9 recently but that needed a transponder transferred from an old key. I expect you’ll find sellers cutting them with a transponder. Search for a Tibbe key.

Good tip about the Tibbe key - I'll get a couple of keys cut to a code first. I'm in Lancashire, a bit far for me to come to you but thanks for the offer. I've got emails out to a couple of local auto locksmiths to see if they can do anything.

I have a couple of new Tibbe key blanks which I never got cut. One has a red plastic top, the other black. Let me know if interested.
