I was wondering if I have to replace the ECU, then where is it located?

I presume nobody will have a full working ECU set for a 2.9 24v car?

Cheers,

Underneath the glove box.  You have to drill a few rivets out from the cage the ECU is Mounted in then remove a 10mm headed bolt which secures the wiring connector to the ecu.

I bet it's not your ecu at fault though Smiley

From the diagnostic work conducted they have found the output voltage from the ECU is only approx 6v instead of 12v which suggested to them a problem. They also only found 3 leaks when they conducted a smoke test, so if the little T piece would have failed, then it should have been picked up?

I know I certainly can't go through winter sitting in  my car for a few mins on the throttle until the engine warms up. I would like the solve the problem.

Thanks for all your help and advice.

Cheers,

The ecus are swappable. So and 95 to 97 24v one will work as the security pats system is standalone. 98 cars are different.

If the Tee has broken youll hear it sucking air. Ive got replacements if needed.

The ecus do opperate at different voltages, be sure they are not just picking up a reference voltage for the tps for example

I had this with a 2.0 not long after buying it  , not enough volts from the ecu and it turned out that i had a corroded battery  fusebox .

I have never heard of an Ecu fail
