Hello, euro car parts run lots of "exclusive" discounts after you have bought from them, sometimes as much as 40% for online orders. Or you can try your local depot and blag a bit. These pumps are on ebay at a lot cheaper but watch seller ratings as a lot of bad ebayers out there.

There is a Cars for Sale thread so perhaps you'd like to place the details of the car on there.

2.0 & 2.3 fuel pumps should be the same.

Yes it is an in tank fuel pump with sender unit. I take it from the link you can remove the pump from the unit and replace just that, but whether that is possible I don't know. I believe the pumps are the same on all petrol versions except the Cosworth which has a more powerful pump.

Not a job for the faint-hearted! Not only would you need to drop the tank out remembering all those rusty bolts, you'll need to have a very dexterous hand with a chisel and hammer to loosen the pump-flange-body, and take it out without damage to the 'lip' of the flange. I installed a new fuel tank to my 2.3 last year, the worst job was fitting the pump. Very difficult to seat the pump with a new seal, took three goes. That was with a new tank, and a complete replacement of home-made Stainless Steel 'Tank-Straps'. It's a difficult job. I would say, a two man job, and still not easy.

| I bought a new pump a few years ago from nationalclearancecentre the Ford ebay listing. It was listed as being for the Cosworth, I checked at the time & there were different part no's I assumed it was more powerfull but that may not be the case. The online listings show different part no's 1076231 for 2.0/2.3 1054530 for both 2.9 versions Whether there's a difference I haven't a clue. 1076231 is a mere £440.36 + VAT at allcarpartsfast

Did you check on ebay - pumps are available separately or is it the sender unit which has failed ? Some pumps state for 2.0 but the 2.3 should be the same.
