Having a bit of trouble re-instating 1 touch close on drivers window. Was working 'till new battery put in (no wires missed on earth side). Have removed the wind guard fitted so it can travel freely to close, but it will not accept the normal wind down then press 1 second down switch, wind up then press 1 second up switch. Have tried with engine running and with just ignition on and still doesn't want to play, car is early cosworth saloon (dec 94 build), any help appreciated Roy

With the drivers window closed press and hold the down button. When the window is fully open keep your finger on the button for about 10 seconds. Now close the window keeping your finger on the button. When fully closed keep pressed for a further 10 seconds. Now try the one touch Tony

Have you checked the control module in the door for bad connections on the multiplugs or possible water damage or maybe you could have a broken wire in the rubber tube between the door post and door where the cables are flexed every time the door is opened or closed ? Assume you have checked any relevant fuses.

I think you may have more luck with a slightly different method. Look at Fault Finder and scroll down to the window section. The method is similar BUT slightly different.
