Heater/AC fan

Another little thing to ask if I may, the fan has started whistling on its Auto and low speeds, you notice it particularly after coming to a halt and then it clears, just wondered if that's how they all are, it's a sign of something bad developing, and whether attending to the fan is a big job. I did look in the Air Conditioning section but couldn't see anything on this.
