2.3 Timing Chain

A prospective purchaser has suggested to me that it is very important to ensure that the timing chain tensioners have been replaced on my 2.3. This is a new one on me and when I searched this forum I couldn't find anything on the topic for this engine. Any advice please?

I think that was only for the early 24 valves, there was an updated drivers side tensioner. I ve never heard/read that on here.

Thanks very much, I shall relay that if the subject comes up again. Since asking the question I found it in the Engine Faults section i.e. that it is trouble free. I got caught out before by a buyer inventing a 'common fault' on a Mercedes I sold on behalf of my friend that turned out to be non-existent so I am wary of falling for that one again.
