V6 24V Cosworth Crank Sensor

So after having the one on my Scorpio fail I used a spare from my other engine but thought I would try and obtain at least another. I have been to the Ford garage and gave them the info on the side and they cant get one. In fact they had one listed from an alternative source but when it arrived today was nothing like the sensor with its combined bracket arrangement for mounting to the 2.9. It looks like if we need one we will have to make a bracket to take a compatible sensor fitment,
If anyone is interested the numbers on the side are as follows.
BERU Germany 0192 114009

The part numbers given to me by the dealer are

Finis number 7334699

Engineering number 959M-12A545-AA

I will keep searching for a spare and have also sent an email to ford uk but not expecting to get a helpful reply.

As I now am back to the 24v cutting out which may or may not be the crank sensor again I thought I would contact BERU to see if if the 24v one is still available. They replied to say that there was nothing in their catalogue but that this would be a borg warner part and gave me the email address for them. Seemingly they are part of the BW group.
Anyway same reply from them - not available anymore which is rather annoying.
I'm hoping my more recent problem turns out to be a different issue to a failing crank sensor as this would mean trying to build a metal mount to take a more readily available sensor. The coming weeks will tell.
John.
