OBD2 for 1.8TD mondeo 1997 made in Germany

Hi!
Can someone tell me, from a reliable source, if my new 1.8TD mondeo from 1997(Made in Germany) is OBD2 compliant?
I had to sell my Scorpio  and I'm now having a mondeo ....but I'm not 100% sure that is obd2 compatible...

I knew about the connector, but I also went to some guy which has a Bosch KTS500 and was unable to read the data I'm interest in. All he can read is engine informations, nothing about ABS, etc...etc..Moreover, engine information does not tell me very much(just one unknown error  ( ).
I've red on some forums that european fords(mondies) might not be fully compliant with OBD2, so I need 100% reliable info about this. Compliant: Yes or no.  )
