AutoEnginuity PC Scan Tool for OBD

Hello All

Posted following on Scorpio list tonight and again here for those not on list:--

About to buy OBD lead & software as recommended by site.

Got link to Gendan Ltd in UK from USA site.

Gendan site shows ISO/PWM combo BUT also a "newer" lead system - AutoEnginuity PC Scan Tool & additional Ford enhancement software package as detailed below.

"AutoEnginuity supports all EOBD / OBD-II protocols into a single unit (ISO,PWM, VPW and CAN) and comes with professionally written and supported software. It will automatically detect the language spoken by the car. As with the Scantool.net interfaces, AutoEnginuity will read/clear EngineManagement and Emissions fault codes, display live engine sensor data and switch-off the 'Check Engine' light. It will also retrieve pending codes,
freeze frame data and allow graphing of vehicle parameters. It is not designed to communicate with other vehicle systems or their associated lights (e.g. ABS and Airbag)."

""""However, the Ford Enhancement for AutoEnginuity provides access to all systems viewed by the dealer tool on Ford cars, including ABS and Airbag. Please see the following link for more details:""""""

Has anyone used this yet?

Available as serial or USB so no need for adapters.

Awaiting opening after holidays before contacting them again regarding order.

Any experiences to report or am I destined to be the first?

About £200 for lead & software CD & £97 for Ford enhancement.
I,m looking for "full package price"which may be slightly cheaper.
Been newcomer don't know how old this lot is.
Hopefully not too new so I can get some feedback from other users if any

Haven't heard of it myself before (can't say I'm any expert on the subject though), but it sounds great (if it works).

That's the acid test and why I hope someone has used it before. I'm not a PC guru so not the ideal test pilot.

Hello All

Slowly progressing with it.

!st scan - using just Auto Eng - stored DTC codes read under "generic powertrain" - listed 4 DTC's

2nd scan - activated Ford enhancement - messed about etc etc. - got it reading DTC codes for other features -
ABS
airbag
passive antitheft
body electrics
enhanced powertrain

NOW have 11 DTC's some beginning with B
i.e B1676 Battery pack voltage out of range.
Still a long way to go yet as still grappling with XP as well.
