Well ive found the "codes" enhanced diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) page where you can select different options for the codes but all i get from the ABS selection is "Connecting to server" and thats it. My cable is the PWM/ISO cable with seven pins in the red ODB2 connector, but i cannot read the ABS codes. HAve tried all the settings mentioned in over posts etc but still cannot read them. Has anyone managed to read ABS codes with the PWM/ISO cable and if so what wre your settings and VE software version? Cheers Fitzy

Have tried it with and without this clicked. Just spent another 90 minutes trying to read the codes. Did notice however that on the log page of VE the coloured connection button near the bottom changes from green to yellow/red when trying to read the ABS codes then once this has failed it sometimes goes back to green or i have to end the connection and re-connect again. Does this mean there is a fault either with mt lead or the OBD socket? Yet my neighbour managed to read the ABS codes 2 or 3 weeks ago. Sometimes get a message similar to "ISO server failed to respond" or similar can't remebder exactly what it read. This is really infuriating, i thought the PWM/ISO lead was capable of reading the ABS codes, at least that's what Alex Peper told me anyway. Fitzy

Hi guys, Read all about your experimenting and success at last - hate to do it all over again! I would appreciate your guidance here. In my local garage they use a laptop and a Box from Bosch including Bluetooth datatransfer... € 50 / session I've got this old laptop sitting here with a USB and/or a serial port -- what exactly do I need to order from Mr . USA to be able to read all engine and ABS DTC codes and stuff from my Cossie? Any particular partnumbers, cables, plugs? Software, where does that come from? Is that just a free download when you buy the cables? Looking forward, Ray

Order the lead from here: http://www.obd-2.com/ I use a tricom with a serial port. Although the pwm/iso is supposed to work most people seem to have trouble connecting to the ABS with it. Best to go for the tricom or if your budget will run to it the trican will support all 1996-2008+ vehicles. If you’re going for the usb, it seems best to get the adapter at the same time, as some people have had trouble with other adaptors. You can download the software and try it out with some sample scans on your desktop, but it will only connect to the car with a lead bought from them. Software version 1.51 is the last stable version for the Scorpio. I thought the latest version 1.63 had resolved the issues as it was working fine, until I found it would not clear the ABS codes for me. To download Ver 1.51 with all the files add /ve151all.exe to the site address. Dave

Hi there! I'm using ScanXL ELM program to connect to my Scorp. And my own-made cable based on ELM327 chip. VE cannot work with this cable. It's cable also based on ELM327, but it seems that it makes some conversion in cable between PC's RS232 and ELM327. The ScanXL program works ok, except the fact that it's sharpened for american fords. It has ability to connect to any car via Generic ODBII, but for some enhanced diagnostics you have to select the kind of car. So to connect to my Scorp I just select other ford (I tried Ranger and Taurus) When I connect to Powertrain module I can read enhanced ford diagnostics info, freeze frame data, RPMs, and so on. But when I connect to ABS and try to get trouble codes - it reports nothigs (as it would be ok). When I got to service, they used VehicleEexplorer - and it showed C1155 and C1233 (LF sensor). My ABS light is always ON. There's ability to pass OBDII commands manually. Do you know if VE have the ability of logging ODBII commands it sends? If so I coud enter ODBII commands myself to get ABS codes. Or if someone could send me a shceme of VE's adapter i could change my cable to be able to work with VE. Thanks

My Scorpion occasionally there are errors of all sensors. At the end of braking sometimes works AVS. Error is not on the cliff sensors, different "speed".
