I would like to aquire a code reader for my car, a 2.3 Manual Ultma of 1999 vintage, it would be great if it also covered Focus and Fiesta as well...

Most use Alex Peper's system HERE. Should run with most post 1994 cars (I checked my mates 2002 Focus - it has the connector though I haven't tried scanning it yet)
Could always contact them and get confirmation.
Probably want the PWM/ISO combi as minimum.
