I have just used the tricom cable to read the abs codes and seem to have 3 defined codes and lots of questions so maybe someone can help traction control and abs lights on constantly 1. C1165 Speed Wheel Sensor RR Input Circuit Failure now i know what this means but is it rear drivers or passenger side? 2. C1500 Transfer Case Contact Plate "B" Encoder Circuit Failure this came up at the same time i was messing with the rear sensors other than that i have no clue can any body shed any light on this one? 3.C1205 ABS Outlet Valve Coil Rear Circuit Short To Ground again no clue here can anybody point me in the right direction I am using the vehicle explorer software how can the codes be cleared using this? are they cleared automatically with each request or is there another way? I have got 2 extra rear abs sensors to mess around with but do they actually have to be fitted to show that they are working (ie are they grounded by the fixing bolt or does the wheel sensor plate give them a specific impedence ) many thanks to all on this excellent website and here hoping I can get thes lights out before the next mot is due !!!

Hi...to clear the advanced codes go to the "status" tab then go to the "advanced menu and then you can clear the codes the codes dont get cleared automatically except after a battery disconnect ...good idea to clear them all and see how it goes after that

sounds like controller to me although I am no expert here...dont think wiring harness would be cause of this code.sounds like a code generated inside the controller and dont think would be from a faulty wiring harness...you can change the electronic part of the controller itself without removing the main lump. someone will have one here at low price i am sure. But best to get someone elses input here before you do anything
