Hi ...hope some clever person can help me with an abs question every 3-4 weeks it throws a c1095 code which I know is the controller and probably a solder issue on the x 2 pins which I have been meaning to look at . That has never caused the brakes to start pumping; just throws a dashboard light up. it clears after switchoff and stays off for another 3-4 weeks Now about every 5 days the abs starts the pumping action below 10 mph but no codes come up showing bad sensor can a wheel sensor fail without showing a code ?? could the controller do this although when fault happens no dashboard light comes up. appreciate any advice...john

When mine did this it was too big an air gap between the sensor & ring, but could be dirt in the sensor ring or on the sensor. I didn’t have a code reader then, but the light would come on so I assume there was a code. A failing sensor would produce a code but I guess with yours at the moment the system hasn’t failed in a way that the ABS detects as anything other than a skid. Dave

Hi Dave ..I recall youre the chap who sorted the abs solder issue thanks for responding. I see what you mean; the system is is no man's zone..it thinks the car was skidding and responded. Dont want to start looking at rings/sensors unless I know which one is giving trouble. its been doing this for a month now and I know when it will do it ..when it starts raining ! Not sure how to proceed really.Guess have to wait until it gets worse and shows a code

Strange if it happens when wet you’d expect it to be a sensor connector needs cleaning but that would probably produce a code. Just don’t leave it till MOT time mine started playing up just a few days before & drove me nuts trying to sort it.
