I just tried doing a scan on my 2.0 16v with my tricom cable, and it doesn't seem to connect. It seems like it connects to the tricom adapter just fine, but the car won't respond at all. Here's the log: Quote: Wed 15 Aug 2007 version 1.52 12:54:53.3 - initializing serial port 12:54:53.3 - connected rs232 port 1 12:54:53.3 - Initializing vehicle using Trican, Tricom, Indo Router 12:54:53.4 - Log In #1 SAE J1850 VPW @ 120 12:54:56.4 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:54:56.4 - no response 12:54:56.4 - Log In #1 SAE J1850 PWM @ 120 12:54:59.4 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:54:59.4 - no response 12:54:59.4 - Login #1 ISO 9141-2 @ 120 10 25 12:54:59.4 - Login #1 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 slow @ 120 10 25 12:54:59.4 - Login #1 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 fast @ 120 10 25 12:55:19.9 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:55:19.9 - no response 12:55:40.4 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:55:40.4 - no response 12:55:43.4 - timeout 5 mode= $81 12:55:43.4 - no response 12:55:43.4 - Login #1 ISO 9141-2 @ 120 10 25 12:55:43.4 - Login #1 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 slow @ 120 10 25 12:55:43.4 - Login #1 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 fast @ 120 10 25 12:56:03.9 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:56:03.9 - no response 12:56:24.5 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:56:24.5 - no response 12:56:27.5 - timeout 5 mode= $81 12:56:27.5 - no response 12:56:29.5 - Log In #2 SAE J1850 VPW @ 120 12:56:32.5 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:56:32.5 - no response 12:56:32.5 - Log In #2 SAE J1850 PWM @ 120 12:56:35.5 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:56:35.5 - no response 12:56:35.5 - Login #2 ISO 9141-2 @ 120 10 25 12:56:35.5 - Login #2 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 slow @ 120 10 25 12:56:35.5 - Login #2 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 fast @ 120 10 25 12:56:56.0 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:56:56.0 - no response 12:57:16.5 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:57:16.5 - no response 12:57:19.5 - timeout 5 mode= $81 12:57:19.5 - no response 12:57:19.5 - Login #2 ISO 9141-2 @ 120 10 25 12:57:19.5 - Login #2 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 slow @ 120 10 25 12:57:19.5 - Login #2 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 fast @ 120 10 25 12:57:40.0 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:57:40.0 - no response 12:58:00.6 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:58:00.6 - no response 12:58:03.7 - timeout 5 mode= $81 12:58:03.7 - no response 12:58:05.6 - Log In #3 SAE J1850 VPW @ 120 12:58:08.7 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:58:08.7 - no response 12:58:08.7 - Log In #3 SAE J1850 PWM @ 120 12:58:11.7 - timeout 5 mode= $01 12:58:11.7 - no response 12:58:11.7 - Login #3 ISO 9141-2 @ 120 10 25 12:58:11.7 - Login #3 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 slow @ 120 10 25 12:58:11.7 - Login #3 ISO/DIS KWP2000-4 fast @ 120 10 25 12:58:32.2 - saved 0 messages 2 KB to : C:\NOCONECT manufacturer files: Core Not Defined none |

I am assuming you have the tricom cable with the box that plugs into the obd socket? the basic pwm/iso cable didnt work for me. Can sense your frustration with this ..it drove me nuts; software is not friendly and is buggy. go to options/gateway filters page tick all boxes protocol page tick all boxes except..send mode/initiate mode/CAN/default (sae ISO) ....speed set to 120 interface page both ports must be the same and tick the tricom interface nothing else ticked hi there try these settings..... btw, sent you an email. hth
