I have a 2.9-12v and only this week it has been a poor starter, and when moving away it cuts out. My son has the latest snap on electronic diagnostic tester but it fails to scan this model scorpio, has anyone in the North East got the kit to run a check?

12v's have different PCM to the rest.
See this http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/star.htm for details of how to test on a 12v.
Personally, my 12v when I bought it would start and then cut out, then restarting was a chore and until it warmed up the idle was all over the place. Swopping the TPS solved it.
