Can`t connect to my Scorpio

I have trouble with connecting my obd2 scan on scorpio 95 with 2,0 16valve engine. I bought the trican version that supposed to work on many different cars, in my order I wrote to Alex that it was for scorpio 95 and he says it should work but it won`t connect. What to do??

what version of the VE software are you using?
 
you need to use an older version.....

Thank you, I will try later. I don`t remember which version I have, but I followed the link I got from Alex. The site I downloaded from was not easy to navigate.
