Folks, Have a P1225 fault with no signal from the Needle Lift Sensor on the number 1 injector. Any body know what that would do to running / performance? Geoff

Hi Geoff, See here - seems your TPS may be giving some issues. Could lead to a number of driveabilty issues here. Your TPS data should be around 16% in the Scorp at idle, can you read the sensor data? Paul

Thanks Paul, Read the link and wonder about the TPS but on the diesel it reports needle lift sensor at fault and there was no output from the NLS. The other thing is that Ford Etis lists my 2.5 as having an A4LD (M) gearbox, which lacks the electric gubbins. I will try and see if the TPS is giving a reading.

Installed a new Number 1 injector complete with Needle Lift Sensor and fault code successfully cleared. Performance of car transformed. This seems to be an issue with the VM diesel, known problem on Range Rovers and Jeeps, both of which have the same engine.
