Dave . I have to say 'You never fail to amaze me!' How the hell you work all these things out and yet come to a conclusion us mere mortals can understand is quite beyond me!

| I spotted that !! I showed the post to a very good friend of mine,Greg, today and his eyes glazed over and then he spotted the time as well!. (You may recall he was here when we were sorting the ABS on my car). He asked me what you would be doing at that time of the morning? and I could only reply that your nocturnal wanderings were fairly common!.

5stud If it is the TPS you could try disconnecting the battery so the TPS values get reset as here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/obd2scan9.htm If your scanner can show live data first look at the TPS output, with ignition on/engine off slowly push down the throttle & check the value changes smoothly & returns to the same base value, mine if I remember correctly goes from about 16.8 to 89% yours will be different. After disconnecting the battery check it again and see if the closed throttle value has changed. A wiring problem/dirty connection could increase the resistance & cause the values to change. Dave
