great number plate bet that cost a bit .. I think my car is that colour green but i sure it wasn't tourmallard green mine is like more of a olive green still don't know the tec term for it though .... Lee
I must say I absolutely adore the tan leather clad scorpios. It catapults the class to distant extremes. The two different greens are Tourmallard Green and Loden Green loden being very olivey. Oh and the tan interior is actually Pumice Leather. Found that on this site somewhere a while back. Where would we be..
A yard I visit (as does Oliver D (Where is he these days?)) had one with the tan or pumice Leather in but it was left open to the elements and went all crappy. Such a shame because it was so soft, not like the facelift ones where the leather is a lot stiffer than the early granadas and scorpios.
I hate when cars in scrap yards aren't looked after. We go to Car Transplants occasionally and when Ben's finished getting the bits he wants, he then goes round shutting windows and sunroofs. Ah, good times.
Shame it wasn't looked after, especially a car like that. There is a set on eBay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21654&i tem=4504585881&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW but even after all that my dashboard wouldn't match. And door cards, carpets, centre console, ugh, such a big job. I always find it strange that Ford didn't make pumice steering wheels to match those interiors.... and I think i've typed 'steering wheel(s)' three times today. Four times now.
So in the 97+ Scorps they have tougher leather? The granadas I remember are thin and kind of fake. So are mine. I'm really looking forward to a show now, i've got a little list of things I want to inspect on other cars!
