Don't know? you can't see them when the headlights are on and they are fitted to BMWs so they must be otherwise I think Top Gear might have had something to say by now....."Police today arrested 65,000 BMW drivers for having illegal lights!!" I don't remember that one on Sky News

Lights off. Only just a bit different to the plastic half circle on all scorpio lights!

Very Stephen King ish

That looks pretty unique Baz...in Scorp terms anyway.

Is that some sort of LED or did you take a hacksaw to a BMW?

What are they? Did you fabricate them or are they a legit part for BMW's that you fitted. Looks cool.. although I do remember reading that any blue light facing forwards on a UK vehicle is illegal unless you are a police vehicle.

Having said that I have the Ghia type indicators with no fogs but a space for them and a clear lense. I toyed with the idea of cutting out the backs and fitting a couple of those blue strobes that you see on the bottom of household alarm boxes... Grin
Fit a switch on the dash somewhere and put the frighteners up the100mphplus beemers that scorch past on the motorway.

If you take the glass off the head light, there is a circular lens. I just fitted a set of what they call "Angel Eyes" off a BMW and wired them into the sidelight circuit. Took all of 20 minutes once I read how to take the glass off. When you put the glass back on, half of the ring is covered up giving the half moon effect!!

I like it anyway.

Vulcan,

they are actually two solid plastic rings with holes drilled in each end with a white LED fitted in each they only look blue, just like them annoying HID lamps they fit to some of them school runners. the light cast from each end meets in the middle, giving the effect of a ring of light. They are the same as fitted to BMWs and have the same LEDs although they are an aftermarket unit.

I'll take some pics with the glass off if anyone wants to see

These were off EBay....I think I paid about 15 quid but they were sold as a set of 4 and needed separating and a bit of soldering.

Daven,

I think the under car lights are a little too Chav for me. (Sorry Richard!!) because I am now officially old (41 today) according to my 18 year old layabout son!!

Glad you like them though!

Vulcan, get the size off the guy before you buy because you have to be able to get the glass back on with the ring in place. The ones I got were not a full ring, it was open at one end and could be closed a bit more to make it fit

Baz

I will take a picture of one of the ones left over later on

Under car lights, now who would have such a childish silly thing on such a sophisticated car like the Scorpio - especially ones which have a variety of running sequences you can play with (just like some xmas tree lights)

Now that really would be silly wouldn't it

eh Craig?
