Yep an my last guitar (before I gave up the bands totally) was a Customised Metallic Black Fender strat built for me (well ok, customised for me, it started life as natural wood with standard pickups). One single coil at the fretboard end and two ancient (but well cool) Di-Marzio twin coil humbuckers (each with the coil tap miniswitch) which could be selected singlely or in tandem or with the tap switches engaged, massive difference in sound from one axe. ROOOAAR...

I changed the springs on the whammy too, had five when I bought it, made it three with some really strong ones I got off a Bass player I knew, no idea where they came from but they fitted perfectly...

Became a beautiful plank of wood.. played sweet as a nut.. it loved you back...

Perfect harmonics and a neck as straight as a die...

I miss it now it's gone.. sold it to a drummer when I gave up performing.... Embarassed

Too many bleedin' guitarists on here... Wink Wink
