Click on left side of mouse - drag to highlight what you want
 
Control C
 
Put the mouse to new position - click left hand side then Control V

hey captain, that's to much for me, I'M thick.
So i left clinked on mouse and dragged across what i wanted and it turned blue.
 
buts what i do next? whats Control C mean?

well it worked, the top line was the copy and paste. the bottom line I typed out fresh.
But other peoples copy and paste comes out in white boxes but mine have not.
Still thanks to two that have taugh me how to get text up on the board.

John, quote is just to the top right of the post you want to "quote". When you click it you will get a reply box with a load of code in it plus the text of the post... just isolate the bit of text that you want and cut out the rest making sure that you don't delete any of the code that makes it quote. You then put your cursor in below the main body of code and type whatever you want to say about the quote.
 
Also if you look to the right of quote you will see modify, on your own posts this allows you to add to or take away text from what you have already written. Saves having to make a new post when you just need to add something to what you previously said.
