Nah mate... if my acu gets a puncture it'll be straight down to the tyre bay.... Wink Wink

Seriously though a mate of mine at work went for it to stop smoking and he has, mind you that's no guarantee that it was the little needles that did it or the threat of his girlfriend disappearing over the horizon never to come back if he didn't stop.

Oddly it's just struck me that he didn't say where they stuck the needles in and now I'm darn curious......

Heh heh. Well, good for him.
I reckon they stick em everywhere... mainly near your spinal column. I'm thinking about a course of 'sessions' to relieve me of my five month bout of extreme vertigo. Bah! I just don't know.

I'd give anything to be trying to stop smoking but otherwise healthy. Maybe that's just being ignorant though.

Anyone had any needles in funny places then?

I'm just going through the giving up smoking thing.  We have a nurse at the doc's surgery who is (now, careful what you admit to in front of this lot, Rod) ....very helpful.

Tried patches and they haven't worked for me although a mate has suggested that they should be placed over my mouth!!

As from yesterday, I'm on the Nicorette gum and I have hardly smoked at all today.  Expensive unless you go to the docs and get them on prescription.

Go on, Dave.  Join me.  You know it makes sense, even if the process also makes you grumpy, irritable, bad tempered, snappy and generally out of sorts.

No change there then!!! Angry Angry Angry

I gave up on the 18th of October 2003. I did the patches thing thru the doctors and feel great now. Have put a bit of weight on but have joined the gym with all the money I save and have lost a stone in just over a month....you know it makes sense.

Only trouble is, if too many people give up, the chancellor will have to tax something else to get back the lost revenue....

Any ideas what he would tax?

Many thanks for all the replies  Grin

There seems to be a few places round here that offer it, possibly even a health centre just down t'road so I think a visit is in order.

Thanks again.

And keep it up Rod!  Grin
