I wonder what caused that?

Seat of the fire is pretty clearly the engine bay.

TR7 used to burst into flames linked to some sort of wiper mechanism problem. Not really heard of any spontaneous Scorps.

I'm surprised that  there are not more Scorps  bursting into flames considering the  poor  insulation and routing  of wiring looms, and  their  proximity to  VERY   HOT  bits of the car .

Did a quick translation (Babelfish not me )... it appears to say....

FORD SCORPIO TOURNAMENT EZ 26.04.1995 !!! FIRE DAMAGE!!! The vehicle had an engine fire and is only for cannibalizing suitable. The body of the vehicle is received very well, ageconditioned scratches and some small depressions gives it nevertheless. The interior equipment is in very good condition, however would have to be aired you because of the fire smell first times properly. Equipment: Color: lodengruen 85 KW Otto/GKAT Seat heating Trailer coupling etc.... The key numbers to 1: 3102 to 2: 0928 and to 3: 900001 The tyre is still o.k. I would have to deliver also still another set of summer tires. 195/65R15 91H or 205/60R15 91H At the trunk lid down rust beginning. *** otherwise see pictures *** The vehicle received a new steering gear and a new servo-pump scarcely one year ago. The total road performance of the vehicle amounts to 111500 km. *** starting from 1, -Euro
!!! The vehicle is not naturally driving ready and should within 14 days after auction end be fetched!!!

It's also got a ticket till Nov 2005... sweet!
