I can't say I have ever followed a football team in my life but I just love the way that every football supporter refers to the game as 'WE did this' or 'YOU didn't do that' - it's amazing how personal it all is.
I just watch from the sidelines LOL

never understood football myself...a game of 2 halves apparantly...
when the firm I subby to sponsored the newcastle match recently, I went as VIP guest etc...meant nowt to me, but when I mentioned it to friends, they would kill for the chance...hmmm strange.
I will stick to car shows and car racing. much more thrilling than watching a load of men with girlie hair cuts kicking a ball around.

There again, Toon supporters won't be needing to be supporting a foreign team playing against Sunderland in any European competition in the far forseeable future, (pre-season friendlies in the Isle of Wight and the Faroe Islands aside) !

But when does a British team ( or for that matter car ) cease to be British ? How British are Arsenal when they field a team of foreigners, with a foreign manager with even their new stadium named after a foreign country ?
I can`t say too much as a happy Liverpool fan ( not quite all foreigners but getting there ! )
