hi craig/lee

you could try this.....

with xp, click on 'my computer'. highlight the hard drive (c?), then RIGHT click it. from the drop down box, click sharing and security. then tick the 'share this folder on the network'. also click 'allow network users to change my files. should work depending on how the network was/is set up.

hth

btw, this needs to be done on both computers and individual folders...ie my documents, my music etc.

The networking wizard in XPmight solve your problems .

Also try double clicking network connections and run through that.

But you do need a good firewall in place if you allow sharing, but that in itself can cause problems as I know only too well.

GOOD LUCK  Grin

The Belkin Router comes with a built in firewall and security so you should be safe as is possible from hackers.
Make sure you have Anti spywear installed and a good Anti virus like AVG which is free from. www.grisoft.com.
any probs just shout.
