I'm off Rally driving at a place called Little Waltham (just above Chelmsford, Essex) in my Scorp at half 7 tonight, so if anybody see's a lost looking aubergine saloon after that time going around and round in circles then its me!

Well... I came 8th out of 12, and went round in a circle only once so not bad for my first race and considering the competition consisted of bucket seat'd Peugeot 205 1.9gti's, a Nova GTE, 2.9 Sierra XR4x4 plus others,  everyone thought i did well.

I was very impressed with the car's handling considering its size, despite having 205 thou on the clock it still pulled strongly and the standard (although with 100w bulbs) headlights were brilliant in the night, and my navigator found the maplights spot on.

Can't wait for the next race, a 200 odd mile rally sometime at the end of october i think starting at 11pm and going on into the little hours...

i had 2 air guitar cd's and iron maiden loaded up in the changer, only my navigator said it would be too distracting  Huh the next one i hope to do is a 200 mile rally starting at 11pm and finishing at 6ish am on the 22nd/23rd this month, whilst everyone else will be numb-bum'd well before the end me and my navigator will get out at the finish feeling as fresh as a daisy  Grin

And by then i should hopefully have had my 8inch sunvisor screens delivered and fitted along with my car digital tv box and PS2, i'm taking rallying into a different league altogether! Ahh my sanity is questionable sometimes....
