Did anyone see 5th gear on Monday 7 Nov. They had a Sierra cossie upgraded (800bhp I think). He hit 206mph. The really amazing thing was the driver was driving as if it was a casual poodle round the park - 1 hand on the wheel and looked totally relaxed. The next 1 on the 14th is looking at the question of what's the best fuel (or any difference) between regular, premium or supermarket.

I only caught a bit of that. Let's face it, 100mph is pretty fast and makes you hang on a bit more. 200 would be something else The fuel thing looks like it will be interesting.

Well there is a few 4 pot Cossie's that can do 200 mph+ now, infact a fair few tuned cars of all kinds can hit that magic figure. I have only been upto 165 mph myself that was scary enough, would go a bit more but not much. You should hear the doors vibrate on a Sierra once you get past 150 mph, sounds like they are ready to fly off the car. Done 180mph on a bike & that was not as scary for some reason?

Well i caught 125 miles per hour in my 2.3, but i runed out of good asphalt and needed to slow down. In 5th gear i had about 5000+ rpm, the car would go faster if it had a 6 speed gearbox, and it would not be necesarly to rev the engine soooooooo much. But 200+ ....hmmmm sounds nice ...i wonder how much and how fast the speeding tickets will come

I think you'd be banned for life and sent to a nut house if they could read your number plate at that speed. Bob
