Goes like steaming stuff off a red hot shovel When the foot goes down the head goes back Purrs at 2000 revs, growls at 2500 and roars at 4000. Need I say more?

I can back up what Paul has said about the Cosworth. He's dead right. But.... please, please, please don't rush into it. You must find a good one. When these engines are good, they're fantastic. But when they have a problem or two (which is not too unusual) then they're your worst nightmare come true. Do your homework and be prepared to look at a good few before you buy. Then enojy it!

My insurance isnt too bad but im 35, your age and location might work against you though. Norwich Union seem to do well on the 24v quotes. try http://www.confused.com Off the mark and at low speeds they arent the quickest thing around but once you get them moving they can tag along with the best of them I average around 25mpg and i do a lot of long runs where i get 30-33mpg but if you're running around town be prepared for around 20mpg

Enable 'Sports' Mode at ALL times and turn off traction control unless you're driving in icy conditions as it really does take a lot of the control and fun away from the car. For such a large car it really can 'hustle' down a fast windy road - Many. many hot hatch owners have tried (and failed spectacularly) to lose my 'tank' of a car thinking it wont be able to go round bends at speed or power out of bends with such gusto - How little they know - lol

I used www.confused.com to find quotes for my Cossie and I selected the one from Norwich Union Direct. Just make sure though that whoever you select when using Confused.com has all the correct details on the car. There are a few horror stories around of people putting in the reg number on Confused which brings up the correct DVLA records for the car but when the info goes to the Insurance company it's not always a direct match. When you call the Insurance company to correct the info they will then want to increase the policy by a good amount

Hi Hillbilly, £2k - gawd. I've just paid £366 fully comp with NCD and legal protection (10 yrs NCB) with esure. Car's kept in garage in Beckenham (greater London). My son (22) is dying to drive it but I told him a condition was that no one under 30 is allowed to even sit in the driver's seat. The only person I've allowed is my brother - once - just to let him have a taster. If you're waiting it'll give you a chance to get to know the beast so that when you see one you'll know what to look for. As Paul B said, you need to find a good'un. Good luck, Paul

You should move to Scotland. I am 29 and with full NC + Protection Fully Comp is £325 with AXA through Motorquote Direct. Vol Excess £200 tho. Car garaged too. Cossie seems to be fast enough. You will never ever beat a nice big Motorbike tho. 0-60 in about 1sec in 1st gear!! Roll on summer!!! Too much snow here at the mo tho.
