Now I am guessing here but I think they were both part of a Ford fleet deal linked to the Scorpio launch, both October or November builds and I have got 270 in the series.

Nice find Craig - if it was a 2.3 manual I think I would be after it!!  Cheesy

Paul - Those are mine and Ray's (if I remember his name correctly!) First seen at the Orpinton meet and then at a Badgers mount meet!

Funny thing is I got a parking ticket fine from a council close to where Ray lives (before he owned it!) - I had to prove it wasn't mine! Guess the TW had used a bigger crayon than usual  Grin

We checked the VIN's and Ray's were 5 apart on the production line!

WTW.... is quite common round SE London - even saw a Merc with similar plates! So I think it is just coincidence rather than fleet ownership!

Hi dave,

In 95, Dealers used to receive an allocation or block of numbers that they would work through, for a Ford Dealer usually about 100 or 200 numbers at a time.

From my V55, I know that the first owner was Ford Motor Company itself hence the thought that it was part of a big leasing deal. The local Mercedes dealer within the WTW area will have had a block of numbers as well, but I bet numbers 200 to 300 at least was allocated to the Ford Dealer.

Anyhow it looks like that at least three of the current owners in that block are members of this site Grin

Dave... you're right - it is your car!   Cheesy

And yes, it is Ray's next to it.
Are those meets the only time they've been together?
I remember boths meets well.  Smiley
