I dont know how familiar you are with the Beetle scene but there are plenty companies out there doing replacement panels which might be a bit easier than fabricating one Smiley

So have you got the 911 Turbo and box ready to slip in there now?? Wink

P.S. Ive seen teams of four guys remove one of those engines at Beetle shows in just over 4 mins Wink

yes i know about the panels but unfortunately they dont manufacture A pillar to Front OS Wing incorporating windscreen recess  Angry

Seeing as you mention the beetle Scene, found a fab website(www.vwheritage.com) that allows one to see the parts together with prices to order online.  A bit like how the FMD has the diagramatic on thier comp screens.  Pity FPUK or someone doesnt do that for the Scorp.  Maybe when the Scorps 30 odd yrs old eh?

I had read about the Record Breaking Engine change.  Its only 4 x 17mm bolts holding on.  Removing alone (although with misses so may aswell be alone!) however, one find the engine very heavy!

I shant be bothering with the 911 lol.  The 1300 aircooled will be heavy enough on juice!  Wink

Don't know  how  a Scorpio owner of your discernment and  taste    can  waste your  time  renovating  a Beetle, surely  the  ugliest  abomination in the history of car design. Roll Eyes

Like comparing  Grace Kelly  with   Margaret Rutherford Grin
