Proper toys

I picked this Tonka toy up at the bootsale on Sunday for a fiver & my little boy (two next month) loves it.
It has got to be the strongest, most robust toy on the planet (i'm 13 stone & it takes my weight if I stand on it, no problem).
A real quality toy & not the usual plastic modern rubbish.
I had one as a kid in the seventies & it rusted badly from being left in the garden.
This one is the exactly same...metal tipper & cab, & the toughest plastic you've ever seen on a toy....but no rust anywhere.............sweeeeet Grin

P.S. anyone remember a toy that was a boxing ring & when you pressed the button the boxers arm would come up & hit the opponents jaw. The opponents head would then fly up on a ratchet type thing & you had to push the head back down.
I think it was called 'Raving Bonkers'. Can't say for deffinate though. I'm sure someone here will know if this is correct Wink

I also remember the hand puppet game where you had finger controls to try and punch the opponents head up too.

Yes ....I had a troll... it looked like that, with ginger hair, but the hair was shorter. It was given to me by my Mum. She had it as a kid in the late 40's early 50's. Can't remember what ever happened to it though. Probably worth a fortune now Shocked
