Sounds pretty grim but hopefully things will work out OK for Richard Hammond and his family.

This should go down in history as one of the best bits of Top Gear ever.
Don't watch it with a full bladder.

As with Steve Irwin, if you play with fire you're gonna get burnt.

     People's   quest  for  childish  excitement  and  the  proverbial    "Adrenaline Rush "   ( yawn )   is   a   sign  that   some  people  have  too much  time and money   and   little  sense. @

  Lecture over, I wish the  wee  fella  a full recovery, we can't have Clarkson lording it on Top Gear   can we ? Agree

I've gotta agree with Mr_Floppy. This wouldn't be the first BBC program to be quietly removed after a stunt goes badly wrong. Yes, if you play with fire, you get burnt, as Steve Irwin indeed found out.

I used to be a big fan of Top Gear but it has become so outrageous over the past few years, from driving cars off of Aircraft Carriers to some of the recent stunts they've pulled, something had to go wrong sooner or later.

But, all the best to him, that is something I wouldn't wish on anyone, makes you realise how fragile life can be.

Bruce.

Awful thing to happen. Seems like a genuinely nice bloke and his love of cars is evident.

Things seem to be looking a bit better.

http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?threadID=3931&&editi on=1&ttl=20060922175256

Now the BBC website and list they opened on Hamsters situation seems to be getting some attention from the odd go green, go slow, cardboard shoes wearing safety monkey  Lips Sealed

I know Clarkson takes the micky for a living and has hopelessly lousy judgement when it comes to all things Scorpio but it would be a huge shame if TG got canned because its not politically correct.

Surprisingly the Telegraph is coming out in support for the freedom for them to take risks with a brilliant editorial here  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2006/09/22/do 2202.xml

Just mentioned this on unleashed, The top gear website has a contacts page, how about sending a good wishes type message to hamster and family as a group from fordscorpio.co.uk
Yes they probably will be inundated with similar messages but I think it would be better as a group as apposed to individuals.
Any thoughts
As an update just been on the news apparently he is on his feat and has taken a few steps this has to be good news Cheesy
