I had a read of that when I was considering buying my scorp. The stuff about the looks as we all know is a matter of personal feelings and to be honest the shape of a car has never realy been an issue to me. However, the scorp shape never did offend me and it has deffinately grown on me.

I love the shape , and beside this, you don't see the exterior when driving ...from the interior

I don't honestly see what people find so ugly about the Scorpio... When these were introduced in 1994 I was still in Junior school and used to love them, to me they looked so posh and well built, I spent about the next 6 months begging my Mother to buy one (just what I've always wanted, Mum )... I remember my best mate's neighbour, he bought an Aubergine 2.0 Exec in late 1994 and when I saw it I pestered the hell out of him to let me look around it, sit in the drivers seat etc. Looking back, I'm not quite sure if he was chuffed or bemused at these 2 kids drooling over his new car but he didn't seem to mind at the time. Never thought that 10 years later I'd have one too, life is a strange thing... The point is that most people don't know what one looks like, I even had an older bloke stop and ask me about it the other day, he said he thought it was a Jag until he saw the badge; spent ages talking to him about it and about the old days when he owned a Zephyr and Jaguar was a small sports car company. Another thing is that no matter how ugly it may be it seems to appeal to women, I'm not one to boast (no, not me ), but I get so many female glances and comments on it, the car looks so posh and they assume the young bloke driving it has wads of cash, it'd take some suped up Beemer to make that much of an impression. Ahhh, enough of my rambling, I guess I've made my point now Bruce.

| Seriously though, I bet you'd pull more women in a clean Scorpio than in a Beemer M3 All we need now is someone to be our guinea pig and volunteer to find out

Never have understood all the crap over the scorpio,it was way ahead of its time & its only in the last couple of years that other makes have started to have the same sort of front end treatment never mind any of the other features!.Ford do like to try new things & push things on (i think i have ford in my blood any way),if you want to run a ford down what about the KA... !

Errrrmmmm. Just to clear something up I did say I never found the scorp shape offensive, that was in reply to the article that was linked to. I also said that the scorp had grown on me. What I didnt make clear was I actualy liked it in the first place. As far as I am concerned ford had a design that was just to soon for the motoring press. look at the new mercs and imprezas now how much sh 1 t have they had in comaparison? None ford were just a bit early thats all

Read it before on here a while back. The only thing that worried me about it was that the guy that wrote seems to think that there was a hatchback version.
