A bug on the sight?

I keep seeing the phrase 'Illegal disc copy' popping up in posts, in the middle of words, so it obviously wasn't written on purpose. Has anyone else noticed it?

I would guess it's the built in censorship system, probably trying to stop the use of the abbreviation T_I_S. Test: TIS Yep, happens here too.

Thats quite correct the Ford Disc in question has been copied by many people and the one the site uses is LICENSED by FORD Europe so any others must be copies and we do not like to promote the fact that they may be available . The owners of the Forum and Ford Scorpio Site do NOT condone the use of these illegal copies. The whole of the Disc in question is on the main site in PDF format for the membership and others..... Easy enough to print it out from there .

| Where is this please Snoopy? I'd like to keep ALL the info in one file if possible. This would indeed be handy in the garage.

Thanks Highlander.....but I thought Snoopy was suggesting you CAN download the whole thing in one go? I KNOW I can get all the pages, but it would be brilliant if it WAS possible to print off the whole thing. Printing them off one by one will take forever. Alternatively is the disc available to buy? Maybe as a contribution cost to the site by mutual agreement with FMC. Only a thought. After all, they aint going to produce any more Scorpio's.....are they. More's the pity!!

Back on topic Everytime you write a word with the sequence of letters...T I S ...then it replaces it with 'Illegal disc copy' Does 'T I S' mean something rude?....I've never heard of it

The forum software 'YaBB' has a dictionary the site owner can add words too that he/she feel inappropriate. As the disk was being discussed a few years back Steve added the word to the list to stop possible litigation. The disk also contains Fords other vehicles and as far as I know would be impossible to save out just the Scorpio section other than what Eric (and others?) has all ready done. The downside to this is any word with tee eye ess in sequence will be picked up Hope that clarifies Dave

Same thing happens on many other forums... Seceret codes get used. "Tiny Feline" is common on the ford sierra club Volvo's VADIS system is closely guarded, VW/Audi has ECTA... None of these should be readily available to the public, but Hookey copeis are all over the shop. Why the manafacturers don't let parts catalougs out I don't know... TT
