Nice ideea, my fog lamps are in not so good condition, the glass is "brushed" by 10 years of "heavy duty roads" and the internal mirror has black spots on it ....they look kind of dull and don't make much light, i'm afarid of asking mr. ford how much will be a new pair.... Tongue

still a bit off-topic, but, shouldn't be a problem buying from ebay.co.uk, most sellers ship worldwide (or atleast Europe). No paypal?

on-topic: I think I like the looks on those fog lamps, would be nice to see them in action  Smiley

These are a spair set so I can fit standard ones at mot time Wink
I will be experimenting with clear perspex lenses and led's on the indicators.
When I finish this side I will take step by step photos of the modifications on the other side and of course a final photo of the finished article on the car Cheesy

hey

i have to say i rather like them, look modern, but i see a legal issue, on the normal bulb lit fogs, there is a deflector on there to stop the light beam blinding oncomming drivers, i know there led's but i have some 3w luxon star led (not on the car, yet Tongue)and there blinding, so you would need to direct their out put down a bit.

for now im gonna follow baz and do a HID conversion, then get the headlights aligned again hehe

I agree Mat I think I may wire them as extra driving lamps and perhaps just use a portion say five led's as fog lamps

Octavian_P the angle on these is supposed to be 25 degrees but I reckon its narrower than that. However, I did buy them with a driving lamp project in mind and wanted as much light thrown forward as possible.

Is there any way of getting round the internal reflective mirror problem?
My N/S one could do with some TLC.  Smiley

Not sure if you can get them refinished never heard of it.
I wouldn't care the reflectors on these ones are pretty good.
I did say in parts wanted that I wasnt bothered about the reflector condition but I ended up with a good pair.
If only I had known before I started the mod that there were a number of people neading replacements.
