Blimey, mine must be an elite too, it's got the cosworth alloys and the quote 'mahogany veneer' (aka moulded plastic ) , it also rides at exactly the same height as mine...I think if it's true, they made a few more than 100 . And twin kickdown, what's this when it's at home? Kickdown is kickdown surely? single kickdown is enough to blow the cyl head, I dread to think what double would do... Pumice leather is nice though... Regards, bruce.

Never heard of an Elite, maybe we can get a VIN number from him to check it Doesnt look any lowered than anyone elses 12 spokes aren't Cosworth alloys, they were an option for any model Enhanced performace?? maybe one of these resistor thingys from ebay?? Double kickdown sounds like a gearbox problem to me! maybe its just ANOTHER of these ebay sellers with a bit of poetic license

Sounds dodgy to me, and at 1500 quid hardly a bargain is it? Previously registered overseas no mileage stated and scuffed up!!. Nah

| That wouldn't be a dig at someone, would it Highlander? Perhaps it's a Ghia X which mated with an Omega...ooh, ugly thoughts... Regards, Bruce

Dont think he was impressed when I told him it was a bog standard 24v Ultima

Lowered as well Looks about the right height to me..... .....unless, being an 'Elite', it used to be the very rare 'Sit up & beg' Scorp Enhanced performance.........now that sounds like it could be the even rarer 'Scorpio Viagra'.. Notice that it doesn't say how many miles it's done......but hey....who cares about a little thing like that when you could be the proud owner of a 'sit up & beg (but lowered) Scorpio Viagra Elite Ultima'

Perhaps the Double Kickdown is the "E" or "S" selection on the gearbox and then the foot operated one !

Another thing I've just noticed..... ....those seats are so shiney, I bet you could see your face in them.....they look as though they've been waxed.......could be problem when braking hard or going 'round corners....especially if your sitting in the back

Already asked the following tongue in cheek question: I don't recall ford selling any special edition scorpios, was this a dealer special? What performance enhancements has the "elite" over the standard scorpio? Also what is the mileage? Thanks And got the following reply! "i was told that they tried out a chip on 100 of them i could not understand why it was so fast thats all i know the mileage is 160000 but that is because i drive from london to blackpool twice a month i also change the oil and service the car every 6000 miles it drives fantastic you are welcome to try before you buy thanks dell" So its been chipped ? Hmmmmm. And the starting bid is £1500 for a 2.3 thats done 160,000, he'd be lucky if he reached that figure with a bidding frenzy of numpty's. Highly amusing if you ask me. And no the questions unsurprisingly aren't public! Paul
