Fame......At Last !!!!

I've just found out that a piccie of my MK1 Granny has been included in this years 'Granada & Scorpio Online' calender. It surprised me, because I didn't submit a picture for the calender. The only pictures I submitted were in the gallery post. Anyway...hopefully I can get some wedding & possibly commercial work from it Hopefully, this is the picture that will be in the calender... P.S.....Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a 'Ford Scorpio.co.uk' calender for next year

I'm sure my old MK3 GLX Cortina was that lovely gold metallic colour ( and a similar vinyl roof ). Great looking car but was a complete and utter Dagenham rust bucket after only 6 years. Thank goodness for the German built Grannies and Scorps.

Mr Floppy...I've seen a couple of MK3 Cortina's over the years with the same gold colour, & even a couple of MK2 Capri's....& even a Jag from the seventies. Also some Lincoln Continentals (pimp mobile version) were sprayed a very similar shade of gold. According to any colour chart that...ie...Halfords, local motor factors have.....the colour, as far as they are concerned, is Arizona Gold (even Ford reckon this)....but it's not. A can of Arizona gold has far less copper tint in it & is a lot lighter in colour & doesn't have as much depth in the shine. The actual colour is called 'Saturn Gold' & to get a match is nigh on impossible, as everywhere you go, it's listed as Arizona Gold Even Brooks Paints in Harold Wood couldn't give me a good match....& they're supposed to be the best around this area. Thanks Bruce, for pointing out that my next post would be my 1000th I didn't realise......& wasted it on a post about a sump plug ....... .....I'm a bit worried about the initiation though......I don't really have to go out & find a goat, do I ? P.S.......Baz.....did you have to buy a calender, or did they send you one for free ?

Bruce........is it me, or is that goat looking at me like it's got a glint in it's eye & an air of expectation ....or maybe it's just got back from the health food shop I always thought the initiation would involve a goats skull, some candles & a pentacle..... ......not a popular pastime, practised by Welsh shepherds

My calender was delivered this morning....& my MK1 is Mr June It's not the piccie that I thought it would be....but an older pic (about 3 years old), that was also on the post. I suppose it was used because it's got a kind of ruralish backdrop (hedge). P.S.....It's the only MK1 In the calender.....the rest are a mixture of MK2 & MK3's....& one silver Scorp Ultima estate.

Ahhh Jonny, that's a lovely car...I think copper/bronze is the best colour for vintage Fords What's the story with the boot spoiler though?
