The apple tree in the back garden has got buds on it The daffs are about 6 inches high (a couple more weeks & they'll bloom) & I 've got a fly buzzing around my front room Need to replace a couple of fence panels though What's going on with the weather ??

14 degrees C (57F) tonight. That's not really the kind of temperature you would expect in mid January I spoke to my folks in Spain earlier & it's colder there than it is here If this carries on, then I can imagine the Scottish holiday brochures next winter...... ....."Get away from the cold & have a warm winter break in sunny Essex"

I remember reading an article, just after the New Orleans disaster, about the huge amounts of money being spent by governments around the world in trying to manipulate the weather.
